This week I want to thank the Lord for letting me find an old record of the town of Catoosa. As I have said many times that I wished I could have collected records and pictures of Catoosa area in Morgan County and put all of it into a book. However, I have chosen to share with my readers all I could collect on Catoosa.
He Grows A Heap Of Beans
Austin R. Comer of Oakdale is shown displaying some of his excellent Kentucky Wonder pole beans. He and his family probably grow more vegetables on .2 of an acre of ground than most Morgan County families grow in their total acreage of over two truck crops. Off of six rows of Kentucky Wonders and white McCaslin pole beans from which over 30 bushels of beans have already been harvested, there will probably be from 125 to 150 bushels taken this year. In addition to his excellent pole beans, Mr. Comer and family produced an abundance of all garden vegetables.
