On July 13, Gatesville Tennis hosted the annual Ethan Sandell Memorial Open Tennis Tournament. There were representatives from Brownwood, Waco, China Spring, Crawford, Whitney, Shoemaker, and many from Gatesville. Killeen police investigate seventh murder of the year
KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen Police are investigating the city's seventh murder of the year after a 17-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound. On July 15, 2024, at approximately 2:31 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Avenue I and discovered the victim inside a residence. Justice of the Peace Nicola James determined the estimated time of death at 4:19 p.m., according to a press release from the Killeen Police Department.
