An internal investigation alongside a state police investigation led to the termination and arrest of a former Kokomo Police Department probationary officer. On July 1, Kokomo Police Department Chief Douglas Stout was reportedly contacted by a separate law enforcement agency in reference to a criminal allegation that involved a probationary officer at the Kokomo Police Department, which reportedly led the administration of the department to immediately contact the Indiana State Police to investigate the allegation.
