    4-week road closure starting Wednesday in Monongalia County

    MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — An access road for several Morgantown area apartments will be closing for four weeks.

    According to a press release from the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH), West Run Road, which is between U.S. 119 and Stewartstown Road, will be closed for four weeks starting on Wednesday, July 24. The closure will be between the intersection of U.S. 119 and the West Run Apartments and Canvas Townhomes, according to the release.

    The closure is the start of a large widening project on the road that was announced at the beginning of the year . At that time, WVDOH officials said the project is expected to take two years.

    This particular four-week closure is for excavation work and utility duct installation, according to the release.

    Residents of the affected apartment complexes can access West Run Road from the Stewartstown Road entrance during the closure.
