UniCare brings Toddler Tuesday events to Morgantown Mall

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — Toddler Tuesday came to the Morgantown Mall on July 23 with the goal of giving kids a chance to get out, play and interact with other kids.

Hosted by UniCare Health Plan of West Virginia, the event is just one of many held in three other regions across the state, according to Marketing Manager Julie Deems, and the organization is finally expanding into the north central region.

Tuesday was the kick-off event for the Morgantown series of events where several different organizations stopped by to set up tables with information, toys and other giveaway items. These organizations include First Choice Services, Monongalia County Early Head Start, WIC, and MCHD Smile Express.

“UniCare is committed for everyone to have a fair chance at becoming healthy,” said Deems. “And Toddler Tuesdays is just a way that we bring this out to the community.”

The Toddler Tuesday events will take place on the fourth Tuesday of each month near the children’s play area. According to Deems, each month’s event will follow a different theme.
