Local Wallingford statue badly vandalized; police continue search for suspects
Wallingford, VT. – After a beloved statue was vandalized earlier this week, the Wallingford community is searching for answers. Wallingford’s Boy with the Leaking Boot statue has been in town since 1898, and was damaged sometime Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The statue has since been removed for repairs, but Wallingford residents are still calling this act of vandalism heartbreaking.
Man arrested in St. Johnsbury for possessing crack cocaine
St. Johnsbury, VT. – A 26-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after troopers on patrol discovered he was in possession of crack cocaine. Devin Campbell-Reid was part of a group that officers found patrolling near Railroad Street and Portland Street. Police say that, during a consensual encounter with the group, they discovered Campbell-Reid was keeping possible cocaine on his person.
NCCC sees 8 percent enrollment spike in Fall 2024 semester
