Daily afternoon rain and storm chances continue
Good evening, Heartland, we are tracking a few isolated thunderstorms this evening. The main hazards of these storms are lightning and brief heavy downpours that could cause some flash flooding concerns. However, a majority of people will remain dry this evening. As we lose the daytime heating, we will start to see drier conditions later tonight. Wednesday morning will be mostly cloudy, with lows in the low 70s. As we head into the afternoon, the daytime heating will help bring back the afternoon showers and storms across the Heartland, a very similar set up to today. Highs will be in the upper 80s. This pattern of dry mornings with showers and isolated storms in the afternoon continues through the end of the week.

Temperatures will remain slightly cooler than average with highs in the mid-80s through the rest of the work week. Still expect those dew points in the upper 60s and low 70s making it feel sticky outdoors.
