JACKSON COUNTY —One teen died and five others were injured in an accident just after 9p.m. Tuesday in Jackson County, Missouri. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2022 Honda HR-V driven by Preston A. McCarty, 18, Holden, Missouri, and a 2008 Chevy Cobalt driven by Nathanel J. As we approach the weekend, moisture increases again with a better chance of showers and storms. In the short term, today will be partly cloudy with only isolated mainly afternoon thunderstorms. Highs look to be about 86 to 90, with dew points near 70. A weak front approaching from the north looks to increase clouds and storm chances just a bit again for Thursday and Friday.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KFVS) - Marcellus Williams has maintained since 1998 that he’s innocent of the murder of local newspaper reporter Felicia Gayle in a St. Louis suburb. Williams was convicted and received the death penalty in 2001. The original conviction hinged not on physical evidence but on the testimony of two witnesses.
