Little Rock women's basketball coach Joe Foley retiring after 37 seasons
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock women's basketball coach Joe Foley is retiring after 37 seasons, the university announced on Thursday. "I always wanted the opportunity to coach and teach, not just basketball, but also the game of life," Foley said. "I'm proud of the accomplishments and success our program has experienced over my 21-year tenure, but without a doubt, I am most proud of the impact we've made on the lives of hundreds of young women. Being their head coach is one of the greatest honors in my life."
Wynne Fire Marshal Chris Damron announces retirement after 32 years
WYNNE — Wynne Fire Marshal Chris Damron is retiring. Damron has 32 years of service as a firefighter with 18 of that in full-time service with the Wynne Fire Department. Damron has announced his plans to retire, effective August 9. He will retire as the Fire Marshal and the city’s Building Inspector.

Attorneys have petitioned the court to seal the case against the man accused of killing a missing University of Mississippi graduate whose body has never been found. Prosecutors and defense attorneys have petitioned the Lafayette County Circuit Court to seal the case against Sheldon “Timothy” Herrington Jr., who was arrested on July 22, 2022, and charged with killing Jimmy “Jay” Lee in 2022. He was indicted on a capital murder charge and has been out on a $250,000 bond since December 2022.
