Target Stops Accepting Checks July 15th
(KNSI) – Attention Target shoppers. Starting Monday, personal checks will no longer be accepted as payment at the big box retailer’s checkout lanes. The company says very few guests pay for their purchases with a check, so the payment form will be eliminated. It’s also the latest move to speed up the checkout experience.

(KNSI) – History was made on Sunday at the Major League Baseball draft, and it comes with a central Minnesota connection. Former St. Cloud Rox player Charlie Condon was taken third overall by the Colorado Rockies in the first round. Condon is the highest selection ever for a Northwoods League player. PRINSBURG, Minn. (FOX 9) - Damage was reported in Prinsburg, Minnesota, after a storm pushed through the area Monday morning. Strong winds and hail were reported during the 7 a.m. hour in Kandiyohi County. Downed tree branches and a broken window were reported in Prinsburg, according to FOX 9 viewers.

MINNEAPOLIS — Brace for more rain and storms on Monday in parts of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities.A tornado warning for Kanidyohi, Renville and Chippewa counties has expired. The National Weather Service said radar-indicated rotation prompted the warning. A few storms will roll over southeastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Monday afternoon, with a low severe threat for wind and hail.During the dry time on Monday, we'll see a mix of sun and clouds. It'll be a hot and humid day with highs in the mid-80s. High pressure and cooler temperatures will move in for the remainder of the week, with some really nice days coming our way with highs in the 70s, low humidity and sunshine.Outside of some passing showers on Tuesday, it appears that we stay dry for the next few days. We'll return to the 80s this weekend.Weekend storms brought large hail and strong winds to parts of the state, leading to downed trees, power outages and other types of storm damage.
