Pierz City Council Briefs

On Monday, March 11, the Pierz City Council:

• Approved an accounting review;

• Approved a concrete permit for Mike Lucking to add a 12 ft. by 105 ft. concrete at 115 Vincent Street South;

• Approved a small accessory permit for Pierz Mobile Home Park to add a 10 ft. by 12 ft. wooden shed;

• Approved a motion to send the manager of the Pierz Mobile Home Park a letter stating that the owner of a “pod” which is there without a permit needs to fill out an application;

• Approved awarding Troy Pick $600 to fix the Pierz Golf Course Clubhouse flooring;

• Approved awarding Britz Store Equipment, Inc. $2,195 for a new freezer for the Pierz Golf Course Clubhouse;

• Approved current part-time Pierz Golf Course Clubhouse staff wages;

Approved the purchase of a $5,600 Toro work cart for the Pierz Golf Course;

• Approved hiring Wayne Pierzynski at $15.00 per hour to be a part-time grounds crew member at the Pierz Golf Course;

• Approved current part-time grounds crew staff wages for the Pierz Golf Course; and

• Approved a Minnesota Golf Course Superintendent Association membership for $165 per year.

The next meeting of the Pierz City Council is Monday, March 25 at 7 p.m. in City Hall’s Council Chambers.
