    Morrison County Board of Commissioners Briefs

    In other business Tuesday, March 12, the Morrison County Board of Commissioners:

    • Approved architectural and engineering services for the historic courthouse Americans with Disabilities Act improvements through a payment of $58,500 to Vetter Johnson Architects;

    • Approved a digital signage migration agreement for a three-year term with an annual payment of $2,542.50, additionally two-channel rebranding services with a one-time cost of $1,567.88;

    • Appointed Molly Petrowitz to the Morrison County Public Health Advisory Committee as a youth member;

    • Approved a new Food, Pools and Lodging license for Horizon Health’s adult day services;

    • Approved a consumption and display permit renewal for the Ramey Store, valid April 1 through March 31, 2025;

    • Approved the 2024 Harding Rodeo large assembly application;

    • Approved the Brainerd Blue Lines Boosters, who partner with the Little Falls Girls Hockey Club, to hold bingo and a raffle on April 6 at the Falls Ballroom;

    • Approved the Morrison County Pheasants Forever to hold a raffle on September 13 at The Falls Ballroom;

    • Approved the Minnesota Fishing Museum to hold a raffle and pull-tabs on April 5 at Rice Creek Hunting and Recreation;

    • Approved entering into a contract with Oasis Central Minnesota for the 2024 year to utilize $37,539 of government aid to assist families in Morrison County. This proposal was originally brought before the Board on Nov. 28, 2023 to update with the plan for use of Homeless Prevention Aid and a contract with Oasis. The contract has had finishing touches, reviewed by Oasis Board, and County Attorney Brian Middendorf has reviewed it;

    • Approved a resolution to award Contract 313 to Sir Lines-A-Lot, LLC in the amount of $582,164.05 for two 2024 sinusoidal pavement marking projects on County State-Aid Highways 8, 24, 26, 47, 51, and 52 and County Road 214. This was the lowest responsible bid received of two bids; and

    • Approved a resolution and executed the agreement authorizing the Local Bridge Replacement Program grant funds for the County Road 220 Bridge replacement project, using $71,086.85 of state funds and $650,000 of federal funds with $29,286.65 of local county funds being used to award $750,373.50 to the lowest responsible bidder.

    The next Morrison County Board of Commissioners meeting is a planning session at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, in the Board Room at the Morrison County Government Center.
