    Morrison County school prom dates

    With the end of the school year only a few months away, proms for schools within Morrison County also approach. Below is when students and guests can expect to go to prom for Little Falls Community High School, Pierz Healy High School, Royalton High School, Swanville High School and Upsala High School:

    Little Falls Community High School:

    Prom for Little Falls Community High School will take place Saturday, April 27. Juniors and seniors of the school are eligible to attend, as well as junior and senior guests from other schools or sophomores from Little Falls Community High School if they are invited by an attending junior or senior. Guests must fill out a form due April 12, and sophomores must fill out a different form. Both forms are available online at www.lfalls.k12.mn.us/activities/prom-2024.

    Tickets are now available and cost $60 per person. Tickets for the grand march preceding prom will be available two weeks prior to prom.

    Little Falls Community High School dress code policies apply for the grand march and prom. A modest midriff and jeans are acceptable, but the jeans must be dark wash and clean with no rips or tears. Students are expected to dress formally.

    The grand march will take place at 4:30 p.m. at the high school gym. Prom dinner and dancing will follow at the Falls Ballroom, with the last dance at 10:30 p.m.

    Pierz Healy High School:

    Prom for Pierz Healy High School will take place Saturday, May 4 in the MAC Gym at 4 p.m.

    Pierz prom is open to Pierz Healy High School juniors and seniors and their approved guests. All guests must be pre-approved by the building principal. Juniors and seniors are allowed to invite students that are at least sophomores and in good standing at their school and under 21 years of age. Those approved to attend prom receive a breathalyzer before the Grand March and are locked in until midnight. All school policies are enforced to ensure the safety of those in attendance.

    Royalton High School:

    Prom for Royalton High School will take place Saturday, April 13. Preceding the prom will be the Grand March, done in two parts to accommodate spectators. The first Grand March starts at 5:15 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m., for couples or groups with no seniors where at least one of the prom-goers is a junior. The second Grand March starts approximately 15 minutes after the first one and is for any couple or groups where at least one of the prom-goers is a senior. Parents and families with students in both Grand Marches can remain seated at the end of the first Grand March.

    Each student who purchased prom tickets receives two Grand March tickets for their families. Additional Grand March tickets are available for $2 at the door

    The dinner and dance will be held at the Blackberry Ridge Golf Club. Charter buses will leave the Royalton High School at 6:30 p.m. and will return to the same location at approximately midnight.

    Swanville High School:

    Prom for Swanville High School will take place Saturday, May 4. Preceding the prom will be the Grand March. Doors will open for the Grand March at 7:20 p.m. for guests, students will line up for the march at 7:45 p.m., and the march will begin at 8 p.m. The prom dance will follow in the auditorium at 8:30 p.m. and will end at midnight, with a change clothes line-up following for Post Prom, which will run from midnight until 4 a.m. on Sunday, May 5.

    In order to attend Post Prom, students and guests must be at the prom by 10 p.m. Once anyone leaves the prom, they will not be allowed to re-enter and their parents will be notified.

    A fee of $10 per attendee or $20 per couple and a prom form is due April 19, to be turned into Mrs. Peterson or Mr. Rieffer. One individual in the couple needs to be a junior or senior and attend Swanville High School. All students inviting a date from outside Swanville High School must complete a guest permission form and have a copy of a picture ID of the guest, due April 19. Guests must be at least high school freshmen and no older than 20 years old.

    All Swanville District policies will apply for students and guests. Young women shall wear a formal dress, semi-formal dress or a skirt/pants and dressy blouse to this event with appropriate footwear. No unlined see-through fabrics will be allowed. The style of dress should be age appropriate, precluding revealing high cut slits, plunging necklines or excessively low backlines. Gentlemen may wear a suit or may dress in a dress shirt, tie, and dress pants with appropriate footwear. In the latter case, a sport jacket will also be acceptable, but not required.

    Upsala High School:

    Prom for Upsala High School will take place Saturday, April 27. The prom will follow the Grand March, which takes place at 7:30 p.m. Attendance is free. Juniors and seniors may invite guests from other schools or sophomores from Upsala High School.
