    Morrison County Board of Commissioners Briefs

    In other business Tuesday, April 23, the Morrison County Board of Commissioners:

    • Approved changes to authorized access and signers for Morrison County’s accounts at Stearns Bank, removing former Deputy Auditor/Treasurer Debbie Symanietz and adding Auditor/Treasurer Shannon Coyle and current Deputy Auditor/Treasurer Breanna Mikkelsen;

    • Approved Helping Hands 365 to hold a raffle on Oct. 26 at the Boomerang Bar;

    • Approved a fireworks application for North Start Fireworks for a display on May 11 at The Barn at Stoney Hills;

    • Approved a two-year renewal for the Info-Tech Research Group subscription, with $67, 768.27 to be paid out of the 2024 IT budget for the first year and $67,768.28 to be paid out of the 2025 IT budget for the second year;

    • Approved a five-year contract with law enforcement software provider Oracle, costing $205,871.24 for the first year, $119,564.67 annually for the second and third years and $125,539.80 annually for years four and five;

    • Approved a contract running from May 7 through Dec. 31, 2025 with Habitat for Humanity for use of $112,042 in 2023 Statewide Affordable Housing Aid dollars for the purposes of assisting in developing and preserving affordable housing within Morrison County to keep families from losing housing and to help those experiencing homelessness find housing;

    • Approve a temporary on-sale liquor license for the Randall Cushing Area Lions Club for its event on May 18;

    • Approved a Food, Pool and Lodging renewal license for Silo Ice Cream of Motley;

    • Approved a resolution to seek funding from Sourcewell for mental health co-response and jail program growth in Region 5; and

    • Approved a resolution for a nonprofit application from Sourcewell to seek funding for respite care by means of a camp at the Bay Lake Retreat Center. The services do not currently exist and are being piloted in partnership with Morrison County Health and Human Services.

    The next Morrison County Board of Commissioners meeting is a planning session at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, in the Board Room at the Morrison County Government Center.
