At its Wednesday, July 31 meeting, the Pierz School Board approved raising the District’s activity fees. The change reflects a $10 increase for both grades 7-8 and 9-12.

While the cost for grades 7-8 sports was raised from $70 to $80 for first and second sports activities, a third sport which was previously at $20 was increased to $30.

The cost of sports activities for grades 9-12 were previously set at $40 for first and second sports activities, but was raised to $50 per sport. A third sport at these grade levels will be free.

Other activities fees that were set include $80 for hockey and speech. Those who are not enrolled in a sport, but would like to use the fitness center can do so at a seasonal fee of $50. No increases were made to ticket prices or season passes.
