    Pierz School Board Briefs

    Below are summaries of actions from the Wednesday, July 31, 2024 meeting of the Pierz School Board.

    Personnel

    The Pierz School Board accepted the resignations of Duane Saehr, custodian; Alisyn Dovenberg, social studies teacher; and Bridget Trutwin, paraprofessional. The Board also approved lane changes for Hailey Sahlstrom, Marcus Artner, Jackie Tautges, Torin Mann and Jodi Marshik, as well as the work agreement between the District and Rick Grammond.

    Truth in Taxation meeting set

    The Pierz School Board set the Truth in Taxation meeting for Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 6 p.m. The Board also adopted the proposed 2024 Payable 2025 property taxes for ISD 484.

    In other news...

    The Pierz School Board accepted a total of $961, which included a donation to the Clay Target League and a grant for Community Education. The Board also designated the Farmers and Merchants State Bank of Pierz, Unity Bank of Pierz, MSDLAF and MSDMAX as the district depositories for the 2024-25 fiscal year; the Morrison County Record as its official newspaper; and the fourth Wednesday of each month for regular school board meetings, beginning at 6 p.m. in the high school media center.

    The next regular board meeting will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m. in the high school media center.
