    Flyers CC girls take sixth in Perham; boys in 13th

    The Little Falls Flyers boys and girls cross country teams started the season, competing at the Brave Like Gabe Meet at Arvig Park in Perham Saturday, Aug. 24.

    The girls team placed 6th place, scoring 161. Malin Youngberg came in 13th, crossing the finish line in 20:23.1. Rose Jarnot later came in 26th (21:15.5), Leah Couture in 29th (21:27.1) and Grace Wamre in 42nd (22:19.1)

    The boys team took 13th overall, scoring 368. Blake Nolan led the way, taking 57th in the race, finishing in 19:04.6. Owen Swisher came in 73rd, with a time of 20:17.6, followed by Kobi Cameron in 74th (20:19.1). William Thelkeld crossed the line in 81st (21:32.1) and Judah Myer came in about three seconds after, taking 82nd (21:35.1)

    The Flyers also had medalists in junior high races. Cullen Steffen placed seventh in the junior high boys race, with a time of 12:38.1. Peyton Hoheisel finished seventh in the girls junior high race (14:05.0), followed by Brekon Hoheisiel in 11th (14:11.07).

    The Flyers traveled to Lakeview Golf Course in Detroit Lakes Thursday, Sept. 5.
