Bulldogs win close battle with Osakis

The Swanville Bulldogs volleyball team hosted the Osakis Silverstreaks Thursday, Sept. 19, winning all three sets (25-20, 25-20, 25-21).

Lily Peterson continues to lead the team in scoring, collecting 10 kills and five aces. Lydia and Addison Hudalla each had five kills along with Allison Bernadot finishing the night with three. Reese Jackson had three aces and 15 assists. Avery Douglas collected two aces.

On defense, Morgan VanHeel made 11 digs and Delaney Chuba had 10. Abby Bernodot went 16 for 16 on serve receive.

The Bulldogs also traveled to take on Maple Lake Tuesday, Sept. 24. They lost the game 0-3 (23-25, 13-25, 19-25). Individual results were not available.

The Bulldogs hosted Browerville-Eagle Valley Thursday, Sept. 26 and competed in a tournament at Bertha-Hewitt High School Saturday, Sept. 28. Their next game will be at home against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Tuesday, Oct. 1.
