Flyers achieve first win against SC Apollo

After losing 10 straight games, the Little Falls Flyers volleyball team earned its first win of the season, beating the St. Cloud Apollo Eagles at home 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 25-18).

The contributors to the victory include Kali Brigmon with eight kills, Stormy Herman with five and Sam Pint with two. Brynn Thoma had four serve aces, Aubree Cauwee followed with three and Brigmon with two.

On defense, Carissa Olson and Brigmon made one blocked shot each. Annika Halvorson made two block assists while Pint and Herman made a total of two.

The Flyers had a tough game on the road against Pequot Lakes Patriots Tuesday, Oct. 1, losing all three sets (10-25, 14-25, 15-25).

Brigmon had another good day of scoring, racking up 12 kills and two block assists. Courtney Herdering and Gabby Dahlberg each scored two serve aces. Herdering also made 11 set assists. Annika Halvorson had two kills and one block assist

The Flyers traveled to Milaca Thursday, Oct. 3. They will host Foley Tuesday, Oct. 8.
