Ranger, who started his walk in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, on March 10, plans to finish in Pismo Beach, California, next month. Currently, he is crossing the border from New Mexico to Arizona.

The Pinal County Sheriff's Office had been searching for 59-year-old Mary Duarte since she disappeared on July 19.
