Nygee Johnson of Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips Pleads Guilty to Conspiracy

NEWARK, N.J. – Nygee Johnson, also known as “Gito,” a 25-year-old member of the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, has admitted his role in a racketeering conspiracy. The announcement was made today by U.S. Attorney Philip R. Sellinger. Johnson pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton in Newark federal court on July 17, 2024, to a superseding indictment charging him with Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) conspiracy.

Details of the Case

From 2015 through September 22, 2022, Johnson was involved with the Rollin’ 60s Neighborhood Crips, a criminal enterprise engaged in violent acts and the distribution of controlled substances across New Jersey and beyond. During his time with the gang, Johnson conspired with other members and associates to commit bank fraud and distribute drugs.

Legal Consequences

Johnson faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. His sentencing is scheduled for December 3, 2024.
