Ongoing Construction Leads to Traffic Adjustments in Multiple Areas

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. - As of this morning, several key routes throughout Morris County are experiencing significant traffic disruptions due to ongoing construction. Commuters are advised to plan accordingly as multiple lanes and some entire roads will be closed for the duration of the day.

    Key Areas Affected:

I-287 Northbound: Construction just south of Exit 35 (NJ 124) in Morristown has resulted in the closure of the left lane, expected to last until 2:00 PM today.

NJ 10: In Denville Township, near Mount Pleasant Turnpike, construction has led to the closure of one right lane in both directions. This setup will remain until 6:00 PM.

NJ 23: Stretching from Maple Lake Road in Butler to just north of Paterson Hamburg Turnpike in West Milford Township, one right lane is closed in both directions until 3:00 PM.

NJ 24 Eastbound: All lanes at Exit 2 (CR 510/Columbia Turnpike) in Hanover Township are closed and detoured until 3:00 PM, posing a significant reroute for many drivers.

US 46: Construction impacts are noted in two segments in Denville Township and Parsippany-Troy Hills Township. In Denville, the right shoulder near NJ 53 is closed until 3:00 PM, and in Parsippany-Troy Hills, one right lane and shoulder near Cherry Hill Road will also remain closed until 3:00 PM.

NJ 15: This route shows construction activity from north of US 46 in Dover to south of Blue Heron Drive in Sparta Township. Despite the construction, all lanes are currently open but could experience intermittent closures until 3:00 PM.

NJ 23: Another section of NJ 23, just north of CR 680/Jackson Avenue in Pequannock Township, sees one right lane and shoulder closed until 4:00 PM.

Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes or allow extra time for travel. Local authorities are working to manage traffic and minimize disruptions as efficiently as possible. Stay tuned to local updates for any changes to these conditions.
