MORRISTOWN, N.J. - From the sun-drenched rows of East Hanover's Farmer's Market to the vibrant evening melodies at Rockaway Gazebo, summer in Morris County is bursting with community spirit and local flavor.
As we step into August, the air is filled with the scent of fresh produce and the sounds of laughter and music. Imagine walking through Lurker Park, basket in hand, picking out the freshest vegetables, or swaying to classic rock as the sun sets.
Whether it’s the family-friendly BBQ at Brookside Beach or a tranquil evening of yoga in Mendham Borough Park, there’s no shortage of ways to revel in the warm weather and community camaraderie.

On Monday, August 5, from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m, Mendham Township Recreation will host a family DIY BBQ - hot dogs and hamburgers will be provided - you do the BBQing. Enjoy a special drink and snack trailer, too!

The Morris Plains Community Band will be presenting concerts in Roberts Garden Park (at the corner of Glenbrook Road and Mountain Way in Morris Plains) every Wednesday evening in August.
The concerts are free of charge and will begin at 6:30pm each week. Attendees should bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit on. Roberts Garden is a very shady public park, with an arboretum-like environment.
