Salad-and-bowl chain Sweetgreen launched its sixth outpost in New Jersey.

Following its June 25 grand opening at the M Station campus in Morristown, the Los Angeles-based fast casual brand is the first retail tenant at the high-profile downtown mixed-use development.

Founded 17 years in Washington state, Sweetgreen is known for its customizable bowls, salads and sides made from fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Nationwide, the chain has more than 230 locations.

Completed in July 2022, Sweetgreen occupies a 2,624-square-foot storefront at the base of the six-story, 120,000-square-foot building. Accounting firm Deloitte leases the rest, which relocated its corporate headquarters from Parsippany.

Sweetgreen is located at 110 Morris St. and open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

For every meal purchased during its recent grand opening celebration, Sweetgreen donated one meal to Nourish.NJ. The nonprofit helps those experiencing food insecurity in Morris County.

Earlier this year, the property’s developer, SJP Properties, and landowner, Scotto Properties, announced they topped out M Station’s second phase. That 260,000-square-foot building will become the new U.S. flagship location for French health care company Sanofi.

The project is scheduled for completion in early 2025 . After that, Sanofi’s 1,900 employees in Bridgewater will transfer to Morristown.
