3 children hospitalized after fire at Dearborn Homes CHA building, Chicago fire officials say
Three children were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after a fire broke out at a high-rise building on the city's South Side.The fire happened in the 2900 block of South State Street, Chicago Fire Department officials said. The six-story building is in the Dearborn Homes area and is owned by the Chicago Housing Authority.ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Following a lengthy investigation by the Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDOA) and the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office, an Addison man was arrested on animal cruelty charges in rural Sandwich Tuesday morning. 60-year-old Mohammad M. Raza-Ahsan was taken into custody on two counts of cruel treatment of animals and three counts of animal cruelty-owner's duties at the property located in the 17000 block of Wagner Road.
