Rangers Take Down White Sox
The Rangers squeaked out a 3-2 win over the Chicago White Sox at Globe Life Field. Adolis Garcia started the scoring with an RBI single in the bottom of the first, and Josh Smith swiped home on a double-steal later in the inning. Smith tacked on an insurance run with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth. Jon Gray earned his fifth win after holding the Sox to one run on four hits in seven-and-two-thirds innings, while Kirby Yates picked up his 18th save. Texas is on a three-game winning streak and sits third in the AL West at 49-and-52. They host the White Sox again tonight. Right-hander Nathan Eovaldi will start opposite Chicago righty Chris Flexen.
