Lynard Edward Hunter, 58, called 911 on Friday night to report that he had attacked his 77-year-old mother at their North Little Egypt Road residence, as confirmed by authorities. According to a statement obtained by WSOC-TV, it was Hunter himself who informed the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office of the incident, leading to his arrest on the scene.
