    California man injured in crash with semi on U.S. 12 in Moscow Township

    MOSCOW TWP. — Hillsdale County Sheriff 's deputies are investigating a serious injury crash that occurred Sunday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 12 and Moscow Road in Moscow Township.

    Deputies were dispatched to the intersection just after 12:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28, for a report of a car crash involving a tractor trailer.

    A preliminary investigation showed that Rene Ulloa, 23, of Pico Rivera, California was traveling southbound on Moscow Road when he failed to yield the right of way and continued through the intersection and struck Paul Kruger Human, 26, of Lewisville, Indiana, who was traveling eastbound on E. Chicago Rd.

    Ulloa was transported by the Somerset Township Fire Department to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson for injuries sustained in the crash. Kruger reported no injuries.

    Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

    The crash remains under investigation with the Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office.
