Reno, NV – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno has issued a Red Flag Warning for Western Nevada and Northeastern California, alongside a Lake Wind Advisory for the Greater Reno area. The advisories will be in effect Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., due to critical fire conditions and dangerous winds.

Boutique electric hypercar maker Automobili Pininfarina is showing off another one-of-a-kind model at Car Week in Monterey this week. In addition to the Batman-themed B95 Gotham on display at The Quail, Automobili Pininfarina is showing off a coach-built variant of its Battista hypercar called the Targamerica, which has been delivered to the US client who commissioned it (for a small price we’re sure).

BMW M5 Pebble Beach Edition Sold for $280,000
The 2025 BMW M5 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Edition #1/1 joined the auction block today at the Gooding & Company during Pebble Beach Automotive Week. This one-of-a-kind M5, created in collaboration with BMW M and BMW Individual, will be the first 2025 M5 to be delivered in North America and it fetched $280,000 at auction. The proceeds above its MSRP were donated to the Pebble Beach Company Foundation, supporting educational programs for disadvantaged youth in Monterey County.

California is known throughout the country for its fruit and vegetable bounty. The golden state produces more than 40 percent of the vegetables we eat and 75 percent of its fruits and nuts. But the state has also struggled with deadly outbreaks of the E. coli pathogen on many of its produce farms — romaine lettuce and walnuts are two recent examples. When outbreaks happen, investigators work round the clock to trace the outbreak, sometimes leading back to contaminated water used to irrigate crops.
