Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing's 250SMX rider Nick Romano recently posted an Instagram post saying farewell to the team after five years. The 4x Loretta Lynn National Champion entered his pro-debut on the team in 2022 during the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

What feels like the end is often the beginning. Beyond thankful for the last 5 years @starracingyamaha thank you everyone šŸ¤šŸ¼ - Nick Romano (Instagram)

Entering the 2023 season, in the off-season for his pro-debut in Monster Energy AMA Supercross, he was dealt with a blown-out knee (ACL and meniscus) that sidelined Romano for the entire year.

Nick then returned for this year as a rookie in Supercross in the 250SX East division, with a best finish of 6th in Indianapolis and 13th overall in the series. Moving into Pro Motocross, a pair of 11s at Thunder Valley and Budds Creek were his top performances and 16th overall in that campaign. During the SuperMotocross World Championship, he grabbed that top 10 with 9th overall in Texas SMX Playoff 2, and by the checkered flag in Vegas, he would place 13th overall.

Where to next? Word on the street is that Nick could be heading to Phoenix Racing Honda for the 2025 season.
