If you ever eliminate the K series 2.0 L engine. Specifically, the K20C2 the one in the Civic. I'll get a Toyota or something else that's naturally aspirated. That engine is fine the way it is don't go making it direct injected. If I wanted that I would have got a k20c1 Type R. At least I would feel better about having to clean the valves every 70k of carbon via walnut blasting. Being able to go super fast in it would be worth it. That's not why I bought the C2 however. It's a rock solid reliable engine you'd be shooting yourself in the foot if you got rid of it in my opinion.

One thing that could make that generation of Civic better. Put a dang transmission dipstick on the CVT transmission for pete's sake. Give us some upgraded motor mounts too. Here's another thing you could do put a bigger windshield washer reservoir. Lastly get rid of that stupid auto start/stop feature. It's just overly complicated makes transmission servicing a pain. I don't like the idea of an electric oil pump in the transmission. Comes on when the vehicle goes into engine stop mode at a red light. You gave us a switch to be able to shut this system off. If you can't remove due to the gov big wigs. Give us a way to permanently disable it. Let the computers remember that you press the button to turn it off. This way you don't have to do it each start cycle. I really hate that system have to bleed the air out of the electric transmission pump each service. Takes forever to get the fluid level correct a dipstick would really be nice.
