We all know a bit about the 1000 Miglia, and maybe you've already seen some of our videos about it. But it's a much different experience taking you behind the scenes and showing you what happens during the most beautiful race in the world, as Enzo Ferrari called it. Not...
20 Most Powerful Cars In the World
We are living in a golden age of power, with supercars routinely delivering 1,000 horsepower or more. Some SUVs and family sedans even match or exceed that number, too. Internal combustion engines are now cranking out more horsepower than ever before, and electric vehicles make it easy for engineers to cram big-time power and torque into everyday vehicles. A hybrid can be the best of both worlds, combining the instantly available torque of an electric motor with the screaming high-end horsepower of a gasoline engine. The result? Rocket-like acceleration whenever you want it.
Simulator Shows Red Bull RB17 Can Lap Silverstone Quicker Than an F1 Car
The Red Bull RB17 is astonishing. Twelve-hundred horsepower, from a 4.5-liter V-10, a sub-2,000-pound curb weight, and capable of up to 3,747 pounds of downforce. Adrian Newey, Red Bull's soon-departing design genius and the main mind behind the RB17, spoke to media at the car's Goodwood Festival of Speed debut Friday and revealed another astonishing figure—in recent simulation testing, the RB17 was quicker than a modern Formula 1 car. About a second a lap quicker than the pole time around Silverstone for last week's British Grand Prix.
Red Bull RB17 Hypercar: This Is It
After years of rumors and teasers, Red Bull has finally unveiled its first-ever customer track car, the RB17, at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The two-seater mid-engine hypercar makes over 1,200 horsepower thanks to an electrically assisted 4.5-liter naturally aspirated V-10 capable of revving to an astounding 15,000 rpm. It weighs under 1,984 pounds, with Red Bull promising Formula 1 car levels of track performance. Talk about extreme.
The Subaru BRZ Finally Gets a Sport Button
Toyota just updated the GR86 in Japan and now Subaru is doing the same with the BRZ. It's like they're related or something. Joking aside, the other half of the Toyobaru gets a dedicated Sport mode. Have you noticed there's a blank button on the center console on pre-2025 cars? Well, not anymore since now there's a Sport button. However, it's only there if you order the attainable sports car with a manual gearbox.
Toyota Made the GR86 Slightly Sportier for 2025
The 2025 GR86 is here, and Toyota has made a few changes to its affordable sports car. Engineers tweaked the shock absorbers and electric power steering to sharpen up the rear-wheel-drive coupe. For cars equipped with a manual gearbox, the updated engine torque control facilitates easier blipping. In addition, the accelerator pedal provides a more direct response after making changes to the throttle control.

The 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed is officially underway. The event takes place from Thursday, July 11 to Sunday, July 14, and this year more than 20 new models will make their debut on the lawns of the Goodwood Estate, with even more making the trek up the iconic hill climb.
The Mercedes-AMG GT63 Pro Has Everything You Need for the Track
The Mercedes-AMG GT63 is already a rocket ship. But most would agree it's more of a grand tourer than a full-on track car. That's where this car, the new GT63 Pro model, comes in. It gets more power, improved aerodynamics, and most importantly, additional cooling for the engine and trick all-wheel drive system.
Oops: Lotus Crashed Its One-Off Track Car Right at Goodwood's Starting Line
The 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed has claimed its first victim. The Lotus Evija X—a one-off track special built to break a very specific Nurburgring record—crashed during Thursday's events at Goodwood, destroying its front end. Thankfully the driver walked away from the incident. While it's not uncommon to...
The Toyota Corolla Hybrid Is All the Car You'll Ever Need
Enthusiasts are quick to turn their noses up at cars like the Toyota Corolla Hybrid. It’s a car for normies, after all, people who don’t care about driving as an experience and just need something to get to work as efficiently and cheaply as possible. But after driving this one, it’s tough to ignore.
Damn: MG's New Electric Sports Car Concept Looks Good
The MG Cyberster is a neat electric sports car that evokes the classic MG roadster. A hardtop version was just revealed at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, though for now, it's only a concept. Say hello to the MG Cyber GTS. Details are slim, but MG does more than...

The ultra-special supercar features an all-new carbon body, a bespoke interior, and an upgraded chassis.
This Rotary-Swapped McLaren P1 GTR Drift Car Is Next-Level Crazy
Is there anyone who thinks the McLaren P1 would be better with a rotary engine? We reckon "Mad Mike" Whiddett and the crew at Lanzante think so. They make a strong argument for it with the car you see here. It's appropriately named MadMac, and it has 1,000 screaming horsepower under the engine cover.
Audi Revived a Never-Built, 16-Cylinder Supercar From the 1930s
We love weird old classic cars, don't we folks? This one comes from Audi—more specifically, Auto Union. Internally known as the Type 52, the so-called "Schnellsportwagen"—or "fast sports car"—was supposed to be a road-going version of the Type 22 Grand Prix race car from the 1930s. It would have had a 16-cylinder engine with upwards of 200 horsepower, and a top speed of 125 miles per hour, making it one of the fastest cars of the day.
Toyota GR GT3 Sports Car: Everything We Know
Toyota is building a new race car. We saw the first GR GT3 concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon in 2022, and all the spy videos and patent images since have previewed a vehicle very similar to that original concept. But it won't be limited to the track. Toyota will also offer a road-going version of the GR GT3 that will likely wear a Lexus badge when it enters production.
Ford Will Make One-Percenters Fight for Their Mustang GTD Color
At an estimated $325,000, the Ford Mustang GTD is already supremely expensive. As Ford prepares to send its road-legal GT3 car up the hill at Goodwood, the company has revealed a new option available to GTD buyers. Actually, it's an option to limit the options for other GTD buyers. Thunderdome is about to begin.
Toyota's All-New Gas Engine Sounds Sporty
In late May, Toyota announced an all-new family of four-cylinder gasoline engines with 1.5- and 2.0-liter displacements. These will be more compact and lighter while delivering extra power and better fuel economy. The smaller of the two will come in naturally aspirated and turbocharged flavors while the other one is being engineered with forced induction. A new video allows us to hear what Toyota is working on.
Dead: Audi A5 Coupe And Cabriolet
Pour one out for the A5 Coupe and Cabriolet. The two-door models are gone from the US lineup, including their hotter S5 and RS5 siblings. For the 2025 model year, Audi will only sell the more practical five-door A5 Sportback and its performance versions. The German luxury brand is streamlining its portfolio by dropping its BMW 4 Series Coupe/Convertible competitor.
This Is Polestar's Coolest Performance Car Yet
Polestar is bringing some heat to Goodwood. Alongside its updated 2 sedan and the new 3 and 4 crossovers, the electric automaker will also have a new concept on display at the Festival of Speed that previews a next-generation performance car. It's called the Polestar Concept BST—and it looks awesome.
Here's Your Chance to Own a Ex-Hertz Shelby GT500 Rental Car
Back in 2022, Ford and Hertz announced a deal that brought Shelby Mustangs into the rental company's fleet. Some of those cars were GT500s modified to a positively insane 900 horsepower. That fleet service is coming to an end, at which point the cars will go up for sale. Do you have the guts to buy a 900-hp Mustang rental car?
