After the famous crash, the motorcycle was comprehensively repaired and restored by actor Dan Haggerty, who played a role in the film’s production and later became its caretaker.

The 'Captain America' chopper is in excellent condition, retaining its original Panhead Harley engine, which produces 52 horsepower.
