Old school charm with modern power.

A meticulously crafted blend of vintage aesthetics and cutting-edge performance, the black, chrome, and white-striped 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS is a true testament to the art of automotive restoration. Built by the renowned Roadster Shop in Mundelein, Illinois, this Chevelle SS, commissioned for a client named Brent, is not just a restored classic but a reimagined powerhouse that bridges the gap between old-school muscle and contemporary supercar performance.

The journey began with a well-preserved 1970 Chevelle SS, originally sporting a light green exterior, black hardtop, and white-wall tires. The interior was equally classic, featuring light-green vinyl seats and a matching steering wheel. Under the hood, it housed a 307ci small block V8 paired with an automatic transmission—an excellent base for a project that would soon transcend its original specifications.

The Roadster Shop took this solid foundation and transformed it into something extraordinary. The Chevelle now boasts a 454ci LSX motor, delivering a staggering 700 horsepower to the rear wheels through a Bowler T-56 transmission. The car's stance is rock-solid, thanks to a SPEC Chevelle chassis, and every inch of the vehicle has been meticulously refined to achieve what the builders describe as "perfection."

The exterior maintains the classic black, chrome, and white-striped look, preserving its timeless appeal. However, closer inspection reveals a machine capable of going toe-to-toe with modern supercars. The Greening Auto wheels, which conceal massive Baer brakes, and the Dakota Digital instrument gauges within the custom Avant Garde Design interior, add a modern touch to this classic muscle car. The inclusion of DEI sound and heat protection layers further enhances the driving experience, making this Chevelle as comfortable as it is powerful.

This 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS is not just a restoration—it's a reimagining of what a muscle car can be, combining the best of both worlds into one immaculate package.
