With limited competition history, offers road-legal versatility and exceptional provenance.

One of the rarest and most intriguing Porsche race cars is coming to the auction stage— the 1984 Porsche 911 SC RS Gruppe B “Evolutionsserie”, chassis number WP0ZZZ91ZES110021. As the final Type 954 SC RS rally car produced by Porsche Motorsport for the FIA Group B, this vehicle holds a special place in the Porsche legacy, being one of only 21 examples ever made. With a limited competition history and extraordinary preservation, this SC RS stands as one of the most well-documented and original models in existence.

Originally created for FIA Group B rally competition, the Porsche 911 SC RS was designed to be both a rally star and road-legal sports car, much like the revered 911 R from the 1960s. This particular example, one of the rare dual-purpose Porsche competition cars, was lightly used in the 1984 Tour de Corse, where it finished 14th overall, the highest-ranked Porsche out of 158 entrants. Sporting a mechanically fuel-injected 3.0-liter flat-six engine, Turbo bodywork, and brakes derived from the legendary 917, this car was built for precision and performance. Notably, the lightweight build includes aluminum body panels and fiberglass bumpers, while a minimalistic interior features 935-style “lollipop” seats and a Matter aluminum roll cage.

Originally earmarked for South African importers, this SC RS eventually found its way to Dutch rally driver Tycho Christian van Dijk, who entered the car in the 1984 Tour de Corse. Despite limited rally success, the car remained in van Dijk’s possession for 20 years before being acquired by its current owner, who has meticulously preserved it. With just 5,209 kilometers (approximately 3,237 miles) on the odometer, this Porsche is one of the most original SC RS examples left in existence.

The car retains its matching-numbers engine and transmission and has recently undergone servicing, including fluid changes and a fresh set of tires, ensuring it's in optimal condition. Accompanying the vehicle is a rich history file, including the Porsche Classic Technical Certificate, its factory build sheet, a Jürgen Barth report, and 1984 Tour de Corse route maps— all further validating the car’s provenance and significance.

With its dual-purpose design as a road and race car, the 1984 Porsche 911 SC RS Gruppe B is a prized addition to any RennSport collection. Whether tearing up the track at Goodwood or showcasing at a premier car event, this rare gem offers its next owner the opportunity to experience Porsche’s rally-bred performance as it was originally intended.
