HLGU Volleyball Competes in Benedictine Tri-Match
Atchison, KS - The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women's Volleyball Team traveled to Atchison, Kansas for a tri-match with Benedictine College and Bethel College. The Trojans first took on Benedictine. HLGU, again, improved each set but failed to win, falling in straight sets to the Ravens. Against Bethel, the Trojans committed 17 errors, resulting in another loss. The Trojans will look to get into the win column with another tri-match on August 24 in Palos Heights, Illinois against Georgetown College and Trinity Christian College at 12 and 2 pm.
HCA Midwest Health Selects Janie Thompson as Menorah Medical Center COO
Overland Park-based Menorah Medical Center announced Janie Thompson will be joining the hospital as chief operating officer. Thompson, a Leawood native, will be returning to Johnson County after most recently serving as COO for HCA Healthcare’s St. David’s Georgetown Hospital in Texas. She served as COO there for over a year, according to her LinkedIn profile.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka’s St. Francis hospital has expanded its care network into North Topeka. The University of Kansas Health System Saint Francis Campus cut the ribbon Tuesday on a new family medicine center just off Highway 75. It will provide primary care to residents in the area.
