CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Good Tuesday Evening Heartland. We saw flooding rains across our northern counties earlier today but for this evening, we are only seeing isolated storms. Temperatures for most of the Heartland were held down thanks to all the cloud cover. More showers and storms will develop as we head through the overnight hours. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible as well as some gusty winds. A flood watch has been issued for much of the Heartland through tomorrow morning. Lows will fall into the lower 70s.

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WCHS) — A Pikeville, Kentucky, doctor was sentenced to prison Monday for illegally prescribing amphetamines to undercover patients, federal prosecutors said. Jason Stamper, 52, was sentenced to 32 months in prison after pleading guilty in a 2022 investigation where he prescribed amphetamines to multiple patients without a legitimate medical purpose, a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky said.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 30-year-old Illinois man accepted a plea agreement Tuesday in connection with the fatal 2023 shooting of a Fort Wayne man. Jesse Shears was one of four people charged with murder in connection with the death of 40-year-old Dennis Starr of Fort Wayne. Samuel Evans III, 51, 24-year-old Samuel Evans IV and 26-year-old Lexus Evans, a father and his two children, were also charged in the case.
