Huge Storm Damages Central Illinois Extensively on Monday Night
A big storm moved across central Illinois on Monday night, bringing broad and severe destruction. The 70 mph wind gusts produced the storm resulted in major harm to trees, electricity lines, and houses. On Tuesday morning, residents found tree limbs strewn about their yards and streets. Some houses were hit with fallen branches as well.

It was an incredible weather event yesterday. Our entire area, at one point or another, was under a tornado warning, and I can’t remember if that’s ever happened before. A handful of tornadoes have already been confirmed, but since it all happened under the cover of darkness and rain, it was impossible to say how many actually occurred. Safe to say…it was A LOT!

Kentucky doctor sentenced to prison for illegally prescribing drugs to undercover patients
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WCHS) — A Pikeville, Kentucky, doctor was sentenced to prison Monday for illegally prescribing amphetamines to undercover patients, federal prosecutors said. Jason Stamper, 52, was sentenced to 32 months in prison after pleading guilty in a 2022 investigation where he prescribed amphetamines to multiple patients without a legitimate medical purpose, a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky said.
