Parkersburg High School teacher receives award from Acacia Fraternity
PARKERSBURG — A teacher at Parkersburg High School has received the Chapter Adviser of the Biennium Award from Acacia Fraternity. J. Scott Cleland also was elected as the international first vice president of the International Council during its conclave in Phoenix. Proclamations, Spencer’s Landing talk loom large at Vienna meeting
VIENNA — Vienna City Council met Thursday at their regularly scheduled meeting. All were in attendance except for Councilman Roger Bibbee and Councilman Chris Mancuso. Council passed three proclamations with unanimous agreement. The first proclamation was to declare Sept. 16-20 National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week. The goal was to increase literacy rates in the area to provide more opportunities for their futures.
