Police reports

• A Mount Airy woman is facing a felony drug charge stemming from a traffic stop, according to city police reports.

Latavia Shuntell Aberg, 22, of 246 Spring St., was encountered by officers at a restaurant in the 2100 block of Rockford Street on June 11.

Aberg subsequently was charged with possession of methamphetamine and confined in the Surry County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond.

She is scheduled to be in District Court on July 15.

(It previously was reported that Joshua Allen Settle, 36, of 303 Highland Drive, was charged with drug violations during the same traffic stop.)

• Michael Allen Griffith, 41, listed as homeless, is accused of second-degree trespassing on municipal property last Saturday, when officers responded to a civil disturbance on the Granite City Greenway.

Griffith, who was found in the Kodiak Lane area of the trail off South Andy Griffith Parkway, had been banned from the greenway in 2016, police records state.

He was jailed without privilege of bond and slated for a July 15 District Court date.

• Charles Ellison Floyd, 61, of 783 Big Dan Lake Drive, Stuart, Virginia, was charged Saturday with second-degree trespassing after police encountered him at a location in the 800 block of West Pine Street from which he had been banned.

Floyd is free on a written promise to appear in Surry District Court on July 15.

• Gary Wayne Robertson Jr., 47, of 133 Double R Trail, was incarcerated with no bond allowed last Friday for allegedly violating a domestic violence protection order in Stokes County, with Michelle Lynette Jones of Pinnacle as the complainant.

Robertson is facing a court appearance in Dobson on July 10.
