    • A Mount Airy teen has been jailed without privilege of bond on charges including fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, according to city police reports.

    The incident unfolded late last Wednesday night with a brief vehicle pursuit and ended in the arrest of Noah Jacob Wall, 18, of 1010 Rats Road, at a location in the 100 block of West Lebanon Street.

    Along with the fleeing/eluding violation, Wall, who was operating a 1992 Jeep Cherokee, is charged with having no operator's license, no insurance, driving a motor vehicle without registration, driving without two headlamps, displaying a fictitious registration plate and improper attachment of a registration tag.

    He was incarcerated without bond due to being out on pre-trial release, and is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on July 29.

    • An overdose incident Thursday night resulted in Justin Wyatt Woodall, 42, of 1366 Mitchells Mill Road, Claudville, Virginia, being charged with driving while impaired.

    Woodall was arrested at Walgreens on West Independence Boulevard after the store had closed and found to have been operating a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse SUV while subject to some impairing substance.

    He was taken to Northern Regional Hospital for treatment and also had blood samples drawn there.

    Woodall, who remained at the hospital afterward, is facing a July 29 appearance in District Court.

    • A single-vehicle collision Thursday afternoon in the 2200 block of Wards Gap Road led to a driving while impaired charge against Henry Urbanska Levering, 26, of 113 Bitting Ave.

    Levering was taken to Northern Regional Hospital for treatment, where a blood draw occurred, and subsequently released to the hospital staff for further treatment.

    The case is set for the July 29 District Court session.

    • Ricky Mitchell Sheets, 38, of 145 N. Gilmer St., was charged with second-degree trespassing after being encountered by officers on June 11 at the city's H.B. Rowe Environmental Park.

    He had been banned from that location by a police lieutenant more than five years before, in March 2019.

    Sheets was given a custody release and turned over to the Surry County Jail staff, arrest records state.

    He is facing a July 15 court appearance.
