The Mount Airy Museum of Regional History will be holding another free Family Fun Day on Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Family Fun Days are events hosted by the museum every second Sunday in the summer, each built around a separate theme.

July’s theme is old-time music, tying in with the museum’s traveling exhibit “Women in Old-Time Music” from the Birthplace of Country Music in Bristol.

These family days are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Mount Airy.

    History Talk

In addition to the fun day, the museum will also host a free History Talk from local women in the old-time music scene the same day.

At 2 p.m. there will be entertainment from musical guest, the local family band The Biscuit Eaters. Then at 3 p.m. the a panel discussion will begin, with panelists Ivy Sheppard, Jane Henderson, Nancy Gentry, Erika Testerman, and Jennie Lowry.

Questions can be directed to the museum at 336-786-4478 or in person at 301 N. Main Street in Mount Airy.
