King woman found dead near road on N. Friendship Road, Stokes County deputies say
Officials are investigating after a woman was found dead in the Triad, according to authorities with the Stokes County Sheriff's Office. On Tuesday, just after 6:30 p.m., Stokes County deputies responded to the 1600 block of N Friendship Road in King, after a report of a dead body. Wilkes County Bulldozer Accident Claims Life Of Man
A man died Wednesday morning in a Wilkes County bulldozer accident at a construction site in Traphill. Reports indicate the victim was struck by a bulldozer and died about a mile off Piney Grove Church Road. Emergency personnel said the mishap occurred at the site of Contentment Club, a new private facility with an 18-hole golf course.
