Council reacquires Maple Street property
Almost four years after the original agreement was made, Creston City Council has taken back the empty property at 120 N. Maple Street from Maple Street Apartments, LLC. In July 2020, the council approved a development agreement with Addam Wall and RANT, LLC. Wall told the council RANT intended to construct a new 18,000 square feet, three-story structure in the empty lot.

She mentioned “Lia” Thomas, the male athlete that has competed in girls swimming events. According to the artcile he has been banned from competing in at least some girls sports. (Creston, Iowa) – The Creston Police Department reports a teenager from Creston was injured during a collision today (Wednesday), at around 7:40-a.m. 15-year-old Allen W. Reed was transported by ambulance to the Creston hospital to be checked-out. Authorities say Reed was driving a 2023 moped and stopped at the corner of Mulberry and Townline Streets, heading northbound. He told officers that he looked before proceeding into the intersection.

East Union makes new purchases for next year
AFTON - July 1 marked the beginning of a new fiscal year for East Union, and with the first school board meeting of the year came a bundle of new purchases. Monday’s regular school board meeting gave the approval of three new vans for the East Union fleet. Two of these are 12 passenger vans to be used for the primary use as activities transportation as well as special education transportation.
