The State of Indiana could give Vincennes Cub League a matching grant of up to 50-thousand dollars for dollars raised in a Crowdfunding campaign. The Vincennes Cub League is raising the funds for improvements to Veterans’ Field. The field, designed for 13 to 16 year-old players, is part of the overall Vincennes Cub League complex.

Winslow handing out many ordinance violations
During their Monday, June 24 Winslow Town Council meeting, Town Marshal Steve Nelson stated that he has been handing out many ordinance violations. Since the new board has taken over, ordinance updates and enforcing ordinance violations have taken a new priority for the council members, with residents who fail to follow town ordinances. Depending on the ordinance, there are different processes when someone violates a town ordinance according to President of Winslow Town Council, Joni Stafford. Tara Baham and Gabby Seger who serve as town clerk and deputy town clerk for Winslow will begin driving through Winslow every Tuesday looking for ordinance violations. Town council members also made a motion to approve Nelson changing from a salary wage to hourly.

"The Pike Central High School Cross Country Teams will continuing their open runs during July at Prides Creek Park. Any incoming boy or girl grades 9-12 that are interested in being on the cross country teams are invited to attend.
