REGISTRATION UNTIL FRIDAY FOR RICHLAND COUNTY FALL KIDS MALL
(OLNEY) Registration is continuing, but only until Friday this week, for this year’s Fall Kids Mall of Richland County, a program for countywide families in need of clothing assistance and school supplies for their child or children in Preschool through 8th Grade preparing for the start of the new school year next month. With this Friday, July 12th, the final day to register, the sign up link is available on the Fall Kids Mall Facebook page and many others, including the RCCU#1 School District homepage, the Middle School and Elementary School pages, and on the Olney Public Library page. After the sign up date, registered families will be contacted via email to confirm their curbside pickup time at Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney on August 2nd and 3rd. There are no financial requirements or financial details needed to take part in the free program. For those having trouble using the online form, contact Fall Kids Mall on its Facebook page. For those needing internet/computer access, they are encouraged to visit the Olney Public Library during regular business hours.
Public Meeting on Electric Vehicle Charging in Vincennes
Vincennes, IN – INDOT will host a public meeting on electric vehicle charging on July 16th at 11:30 a.m. at the Green Activities Center on the Vincennes University campus. This meeting is part of INDOT’s federally funded program to expand Indiana’s electric vehicle charging network. The program wants to deploy a national network of at least 500,000 charging stations by 2030. A presentation will begin 30 minutes after the doors open. Wheatland Man Arrested for OWI This Morning
Knox County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Wheatland man this morning after finding him allegedly driving recklessly on Sixth Street in Vincennes. Officers stopped the vehicle driven by 20 year-old Joshua Hertaus (HERT-us). A further investigation found Hertaus driving with intoxicated. He is also charged with minor consumption, and reckless driving. He was booked into the Knox County Jail on four-thousand dollars bond.
