(OLNEY/NEWTON) With an upper level weather disturbance hanging over the Upper Midwest, we’ll have another day of sunshine and clouds mixed up on this Friday, with yet another slight chance of a pop up shower or isolated thunderstorm this afternoon. CITY OF OLNEY ROAD CLOSURE NEXT WEEK
(OLNEY) The City of Olney has announced a street closure for part of next week. In relation to repair work to the Whittle Avenue Railroad Crossing, the section of Whittle Avenue from North Avenue to South Avenue will be closed next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 16th, 17th, and 18th. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes of travel and the patience of all during this road and railroad crossing work is appreciated.
Janice Kellersohn, 69, Vincennes
Janice R. Kellersohn, a compassionate, kind, and wise soul, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024, in Evansville, IN. Born on December 9, 1954, in Vincennes, IN, she was a beacon of light to all who knew her. Janice’s zest for life was evident in her love for traveling, especially her cherished trips to Germany, and in the intricate handmade cards she crafted with love.
Carolyn Kniess, 88, Vincennes
Carolyn June (Heiser) Kness, 88, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2024 in Vincennes, IN, with her daughter Wanda Whittington at her side. She was born on December 23, 1935 in Zion, IL in her lifelong home to Dan and Eleanor (Kratz) Heiser. Carolyn married E. James Kness in March 1956. She enjoyed her many years as a school librarian at Shiloh Park school, was a lifelong member of Christ Community Church (formerly Christian Catholic Church) in Zion, IL and was an active member of American Legion for many years.
