Frances Thompson Knoizen, 98, of Weirsdale, died June 26, 2024. Born in Silver Spring, MD, she moved to south Lake Weir in 1982 with her husband, Rear Admiral Ken Knoizen. Prior to marriage in 1949, she graduated from Meredith College and worked at the Library Of Congress. She was a history major and had a passion for all things historical. She had a major role in supporting Ken during his military career of 38 years. She hosted may receptions at their home(s), and was loved for her piano and singing sessions. “Good Night Ladies” was always last.
