A new concept will lease former Walmart Health locations in Florida, Georgia, Missouri and Texas. The Bentonville, Arkansas-based retail giant (NYSE: WMT) is leasing the former clinical space for its health care concept to CenterWell, the health care services business of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM). City to vote on rules limiting downtown Orlando nightclub locations, more
The city of Orlando on Aug. 12 will vote on new regulation related to nightlife in what the city refers to as the downtown entertainment area, typically called DEA. City Planning Division Manager Elizabeth Dang said Orlando staff was asked to consider potential code amendments to prevent further concentration of nightclubs in the DEA — which is a rectangular area centered on Orange Avenue from Colonial Drive to State Road 408 — and suggested nightclubs may be responsible for the area’s lack of daytime activity.

Deltona OKs tentative property-tax increase
This is the time of year when local governments and taxing authorities make their wish lists and set forth how they plan to spend the money they take from taxpayers. July is when the leaders of the cities, counties, school districts and other special agencies set their proposed tax rates — expressed as millage — for the next fiscal year. As the Deltona City Commission was poised to set its property-tax levy at 7 mills, there was a last-minute surprise. Although the agenda for the July 15 meeting and the conversation following a series of budget workshops had centered on that figure, City Manager Dale “Doc” Dougherty called for a tentative tax rate of 7.2 mills. Deltona’s current ad valorem rate is 7.35 mills.
Here's when SunRail will debut DeLand station

The sheriff's office said they were called just before 6 p.m. to assist in the search for Levi Dellarco on his family's 10-acre property on Flowing Creek Way in Osteen.

A New Port Richey woman was arrested for trespassing when she sat in front of Publix and refused to leave despite being asked by police. An officer responded to Publix, located at 10601 U.S. Hwy. 441 in Leesburg, regarding a suspicious person around 10:37 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Dispatch advised that the caller, an employee of the business, stated 62-year-old Krystal Lynn Barnett was sitting in front of the business refusing to leave.
