FHP looking for hit-and-run driver who killed 71-year-old pedestrian
The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a hit-and-run driver who killed a 71-year-old pedestrian Monday night on County Road 25 near Lake Weir in Marion County. The body of the Ocklawaha man was found shortly before 10 p.m. in the eastbound lane of travel on County Road 25 at Bay Road in Ocklawaha. A vehicle apparently hit the man and left the scene, according to FHP.

Stolen pickup truck found topped with a tarp; Suspect accused of covering up his crime
SORRENTO, Fla. (TND) — A sheriff's deputy uncovered evidence – literally – while investigating "a possible stolen vehicle" outside someone's home. The deputy was told a black Ford F-150 was parked in the driveway, along with the license plate number, and was “further advised that the truck possessed a silver Florida Gators front license plate,” the arrest report said.

Sanford police: 22-year-old man shot, killed during apparent headphones sale
SANFORD, Fla. - A 22-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night outside a Sanford, Florida home while attempting to sell a pair of headphones, police said. Sanford police officers responded to reports of a shooting shortly after 9:30 p.m. Saturday near West 3rd Street and Pomegranate Avenue, police said. Officers found a white pickup truck partially submerged in a retention pond near the intersection where 22-year-old Brandon Leo, of Orlando, was found dead inside.
